Charlottesville’s Look Festival of the Photograph.

Well, I can’t comment on the whole Look Festival.  What I saw, I dug though.

Martin Parr gave a great slideshow and talk.  I laughed.

His style is, make it funny and interesting to look at (for example, a young boy starring at a clerks breasts) and pack in a great message about what our society is about, unbeknownst to the viewer.

“With photography, I like to create fiction out of reality. I try and do this by taking society’s natural prejudice and giving this a twist.” – Martin Parr.
