In Portland, Maine...

In Portland, Maine...

“I feel like a tiny bird with a big song!” – Jerry Van Amerongen

The past month…

Every month I try to recap the month and steer you towards the best content of the past month.  I am currently am sitting at a cafe in Portland, Maine, which I will tell you more about in the coming week.  I have spent September in the search for New England and changing leaves.

The Road…

I left Ann Arbor and traveled to Lake Milton, Ohio where I connected with my old friend, Mario and his family.  I then spent a few days in Scranton, Pennsylvania and kept working my way Northeast.  I met a local band in Oneonta, New York and spent a week before camping near the beautiful Lake George.  A few days ago, I left Burlington, Vermont and hitched the small roads of the Northeast to reach Portland, where I am currently staying with Jessie, a couchsurfer, for a week or so.

Here are my favorite articles and photographs for the month of September.

The Month of October…

In the coming month, I am going to be finishing up my tour of New England with a stop in Boston and any other places that call my name.  But then I am going to be headed South for the winter.  Right now, San Diego seems the most interesting.  A great climate and an interesting culture.  I want to go West!
