Meet Auron and Kyle.

“True friendship is like sound health; the value of it is seldom known until it be lost.” – Charles Caleb Colton

Meet Auron & Kyle.

Auron and Kyle are my first Couchsurfing hosts in Las Vegas.

Auron is a photographer from the East Coast who is planning a traveling adventure of his own.  He wants to be like Jack Keroauc except with his camera.

Kyle… hmm…. dang, I forgot, where Kyle is from.  Kyle is going to travel with Auron as well.  They are good friends and roommates.

Meet Jesus, Pepe, and Izabel.

Jesus and Izabel are good friends on vacation.  Zohar and I meet them as we hike up Angel’s Landing.  They are bringing their burro, Pepe, along for photographs for a friend.

Jesus is a passionate filmmaker, who was born in Mexico.  Izabel is very smiley and was born in Brazil.  They both live in Houston now.

I meet up with them in Vegas the next day for Chinese food and to celebrate St. Patty’s Day.  I think I am the only one with Irish ancestry, but on St. Patty’s Day everyone is Irish.  We wander on Fremont Street and photograph green clad revelers.  They let me sleep on the floor of their hotel room to save me a trip through the streets of Vegas looking for my Couchsurfing hosts.

Thanks!

“There is no life I know to compare with pure imagination. Living there, you’ll be free if you truly wish to be. If you want to view paradise, simply look around and view it. Anything you want to, do it. Want to change the world? There’s nothing to it.” – Willy Wonka

Meet Carol.

I met this rambunctious lady at the top of Angel’s Landing in Zion National Park.  It is a challenging climb that is not for the faint of heart.

Carol is about to work for the WHO and is passionate about changing the world.  She offers me and my buddy, Zohar a place to camp on her campsite.  We sit around the fir that night and play Catch Phrase with some Canadian dudes.
