“Happiness depends not on outward things, but on the way we see them.” – Leo Tolstoy

This is a post of photographs from Fort Stockton, a small West Texas town.

Fort Stockton, Texas.

It is here that I will spend Christmas Eve and Christmas.  Fort Stockton, Texas.  Home to around 8,000 people.  The Oil Capitol of the USA.  Home of the World’s Largest Road Runner, Palsano Pete.

The town was built around Comanche Springs, which was at one time the third largest source of spring water in Texas.

I walk around on Christmas Eve and take photographs.  I am feeling great.  Later that night as I get dinner, the local Fort Stockton-ites befriend me.  It is a great night.
